Meghan MacBain is Programme Manager for Anti-Slavery International. She has over 10 years experience working on humanitarian development and conflict resolution programmes. Prior to joining Anti-Slavery International in 2006, she worked for 5 years as a country representative in Sierra Leone for War Child Holland.
Anti-Slavery International was founded in 1839 by the same abolitionists who led the campaign against the slave trade in 1807 and fought for the abolition of slavery in 1833. The charity continues to work for an end to all forms of slavery throughout the world and is the only organisation in the UK working exclusively for the elimination of slavery and related abuses in the world today.
